Juniors and Thanksgiving Week
Thanksgiving and Junior meets November 26th and 28th

FHC Juniors were well represented at Thanksgiving and Junior Meets in November.
Over eighty riders turned out at Millington for the annual Junior meet on November 28th. FHC members and friends came out in numbers to celebrate a beautiful Thanksgiving Day at Foxfield, with the awarding of colors to two veteran junior members of the club: Addie Evarts and Jordan Summers.
At the junior meet we welcomed 24 well turned out young riders including a big group as usual from Millington led by Liz King and Muffin Barnes, joined by Elana Summers; nine pony clubbers from Mountain Skyline under the leadership of Skyline Pony Club DC Pam French; four FHC experienced Pony Academy riders led by Diane Hawkins plus juniors from other clubs: 4-H Club Hoof and Woof with Jenn Daly, Rapidan River and the Glenmore Hunt plus several families well represented by our own Summers family and FHC President Reynolds Cowles with two grand kids, Neuhoff mother and daughter team Leslie and Haley, and "east of town" visitors Katie Goldstein and her mother Dr. Linda Sommers, and junior member Meredith Morris and her mother Iva Gillett. The large field was busy keeping up with the hunt that featured rambunctious cows at the Palmer's farm, a bear at Percy Wood and several foxes leading chase all around the Millington country. Congratulations to all who turned out for a thrilling and challenging hunt. We hope to see these capable new foxhunters out for years to come!
