New Fixture opens at historic Miller School of Albemarle, February 28th 2013

What a fantastic hunt we had at Miller School yesterday, riding over wooded areas, pine forests, and gently rolling natural turf fields on the school property and adjacent land. The day began with gray skies and in raw cold where we parked in a field just off Dick Woods Road. Daron and staff cast a small pack of select hounds in the wooded cover not far from our parking spot, and hounds soon struck on not one but two foxes that led a field of about 40 riders on a good chase through the new territory west of Charlottesville. Following this first ever meet at the new fixture, we were hosted to a feast for all the riders, including several visiting intrepid Miller students and staff. Thank you Miller School!
