Aug Jumper Show 2011
A great turnout of riders and spectators at Schelford Farm. Results and Photos.
We had fun watching all the horses ride over a lovely set of courses at Schelford Farm. Lots of people came out to show and to spectate, and the weather was pretty darn perfect given the conditions we could have had. Apparently there were torrential downpours just about everywhere except at Schelford Farm. The venue is so much fun, with the large ring, and so much room for everyone to watch from the sidelines. We went from Puddle Jumpers to a Mini-Prix. This year, we offered "off-the-track" Thoroughbred divisions as well, qualifying classes for the finals being held in Lexington at the Virginia Horse Park in November. Stephen Bickers judged, assisted by Drew Perkins, timer. Muffin was gate person all day AND photographer. Bob Haschart also doubled as photographer and jump crew. Karen Bull did some of everything throughout the whole process, thanks Karen! Mary Quinn Martin and Debbie Wright announced, Alyson Louthan, Paula McConnell and Judy Elias served as secretaries, and there were helpers throughout the setup, day, and tear-down, including Robin Lundgren and her crew, Matt Williams, Jimmy Coffindaffer and Kai Hobenik from Schelford, Liz King, Molly Duncan, Daron and Alison Beeney, Tommy McCauley, Liz Uffelman, Brodie Lower, Jeannette Fellows, Deborah Wray, Mason Fogg, Bill and Sallie Tunner, and J.B. and Mary Scott Birdsall. Thanks everyone! Photos here. Results below.
