Spring Meets 2011

Late season 2011 ends at Kennels,3/13

Farmington Hunt Club ended a banner year with several great meets during February and March.The final meet of the year took place at the Kennels on March 13th with a great turnout from Farmington foxhunters, including our founding member and timeless foxhunter, Ellie Wood Baxter, seen here on one of Tom Bishops favorite thoroughbreds. After we returned from a 10 mile ride chasing more than one fox( two of which were well viewed at Hidden Fox by a big group of Hilltoppers thanks to Liz King's experienced guidance and eagle eye) over countryside starting at the Kennels, and ending up over the mountain behind Yadkin then home on the Davis Shop Road, the happy members who were there for that glorious day were treated to a fine feast provided by volunteer cooks including Debbie Wright, Shelley Thompson and laid out by B.J.Korol. Thanks to our incomparable pack of hounds, reliable field masters and our wonderful staff for a terrific season.
