Sunday, May 16th, 43 horses and riders competed over courses ranging from 2' "Puddle Jumpers" to a 3'9" "Mini-Prix". Another fun class was the 3' Jumper Derby, which started over an outside course consisting of coops, a brush box, and a 3-stride bank combination landing into the ring, where the riders proceeded directly to a vertical and four more jumps in the ring. Clear rounds went on for a timed jump-off competing for $75 in prize money. Mr. Stephen Bickers served as judge, and many volunteers helped, including Muffin Barnes, Liz King and Whitney Digney at the in-gate, Shelly Thompson, Wilma Mangione, BJ Korol and Pattie Boden serving as secretaries, Reynolds Cowles, Stephanie Guerlain and Debbie Wright as announcers, Linda Haschart at the food booth, with food donated by Dale Dealtry, Karen Bull, Shelly Thompson, Wilma Mangione, Anne Grachus, Jennifer Sulzberger, and Emilie Bassett. Bob Haschart was photographer, Joy Crompton, Carol Hamm and Lynne Taylor and Stephanie Guerlain set the course, and Brant Gamma, Pete (her husband), Anne Via, Brian and Kay Barquin, Jeanne Marie, Debbie Heymann, Mary Minor Henderson and Stephanie Guerlain painted the ring and jumps. Liz King, Jay Fennell and Marshall prepared the grounds.
