The Farmington Hunt Club Puppy Show and Farmington Beagles joined for a wonderful time had by all.
All of Farmington's unentered hounds showed very well with Trumpet coming in first, followed by Fancy,
Fly, and Frozen for the bitches. The dog hound class was won by Jackson, with Flint in 2nd place.
Trumpet and Jackson went in a head to head competition with Trumpet being awarded the Grand Champion.
After the youngsters were taken back to the kennels, 6 beagles were shown by very able young handlers. It's
always great fun to watch the interaction between the kids and beagles, and gives promise to the future of
hunting.
A huge thank you goes to Sherry Buttrick and Beth Ike for organizing the beagles and young handlers, and
of course, for the Pimm's!
Many, many thanks goes to BJ Korol and Nan Young for hosting the delicious lunch and desserts. It goes
without saying, that BJ and many others did several other jobs setting up, making sure drinks were available,
contributing food, and cleaning up. FHC is blessed with so many wonderful people that give so much time
and effort to our many functions- thank you!!!
Last, but surely not least, kudos to Matthew Cook (our Huntsman, pictured above) who spent countless hours making the grounds beautiful and the puppies so well behaved. On to the Virginia Hound Show, Sunday, May 26th-Morven Park, Leesburg, VA - hope to see lots of FHC members and guests there.
