On Wednesday 4/25/ 2012 members came together at the Clubhouse in Free Union,VA for the 83rd Annual meeting of the Farmington Hunt Club. Outgoing directors Beth Sutton, Liz King and Ken Chapman proposed a new slate that was unanimously approved: Kip Holloway, George Lindbeck and Stephanie Guerlain.These new Board of Governors members will serve a three year term expiring in 2015. Officers Reynolds Cowles, President, VP Mark Thompson, Secretary Pattie Boden and new Treasurer Thoma Johnson were also unanimously voted in. The annual budget was explained, and proposal was made to increase the annual dues. This motion was passed. Committee reports and overall club financial review were discussed and reported, followed by special awards to members: Connie Laudenschlager received the Jill Summers Award for best turned out rider for this year, an annual prize donated and presented by B.J.Korol in memory of the late MFH Jill Summers. Honorable mention was given to Debbie Wright, kay barquin, Jennifer Cofield and Beth Sutton. The annual Julian Beckwith Award was given to Shelly Thompson in recognition of her years of service to the club, and a special suprise award was givien to B.J.Korol by Evie Cowles in honor of her superior House management, and super cleaning work .
